Christopher, a native of Aurora, WV, was honored for his remarkable dedication to family and resilience in the face of adversity. After working as an underground coal miner at Leer Mine in Grafton,
Christopher cherished his role as a father to his daughter Everlee May, born in 2019, and his loving relationship with his wife Kelsey, whom he married in 2020. An avid outdoorsman, Christopher longed to share his passions for hunting and fishing with his daughter. Known for his genuine nature, infectious smile, and unwavering work ethic,
Christopher's life took a tragic turn when he suffered a severe traumatic brain injury in a car accident in 2020. Despite enduring months of medical procedures and rehabilitation, Christopher's health declined, ultimately leading to his passing in July 2022. Throughout his journey, Christopher's spirit and love for his family remained unwavering, leaving an indelible mark on those who knew him.

Brieannt Dietz Memorial Ride, 2022 Recipient -Zachary Riffle,
Zach posthumously received recognition for his remarkable life and sacrifice. Throughout his youth, Zach demonstrated exceptional athleticism, participating in various sports including football, basketball, track, baseball, wrestling, and dirt bike riding. Known for his fearless attitude and unwavering work ethic, Zach's determination transcended his physical stature, as he fearlessly competed against opponents of all sizes, earning admiration from teammates and friends alike. With a contagious smile and a penchant for humor, Zach brightened every room he entered, leaving a lasting impression on those around him. He was a devoted brother to his siblings and a cherished friend, always willing to lend a helping hand.
After graduating early to enlist in the Marines, Zach served as a landing support specialist, displaying bravery and dedication in his service. Tragically, Zach's life was cut short in a training accident at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where he and another Marine lost their lives while 17 others were injured. Despite the sorrow of his untimely passing, Zach's legacy of courage, camaraderie, and selflessness endures, forever honored by those who knew him.
